Here to Listen

1,000,000
conversations.

We start with one.
One person who is given the space to speak. One person who listens without judging, steering or rushing to respond.

One
conversationcan be a beginning
01 · Our vision

One million conversations in which someone feels genuinely heard.

That is our first goal. Not one million contacts, clicks or brief exchanges, but one million moments of undivided attention. Conversations that give people space to think, speak openly and find their own way forward. The number turns a simple human act into a shared, measurable ambition. Every conversation counts — and every one begins with one person choosing to listen.

02 · Why listening

Being heard changes what becomes possible.

Listening is not merely silence. Its quality becomes visible in what the other person is able to do: explore, reconsider and speak without having to defend themselves.

01

Trust

People are more willing to contribute what would otherwise remain unspoken.

02

Reflection

A pause between impulse and response creates room for more differentiated thinking.

03

Autonomy

Change is more sustainable when people discover and choose their own next step.

03 · A space to think

Sometimes you do not need an answer. You need someone who stays.

There does not have to be a crisis or a fully formed question. A listening conversation can be helpful whenever something needs room.

01

Your thoughts keep circling and you want to understand what is really occupying you.

02

You are facing a decision and want to hear your own thinking more clearly.

03

A change, conflict or disappointment is still working inside you.

04

You feel unheard — or tired of receiving advice before you have finished speaking.

05

You are carrying something that feels difficult to explain to people close to you.

06

You simply want 45 minutes in which the conversation is not about anyone else.

How it works

45 minutes. One person speaks. One person listens.

Initiator of Here to Listen

Martin works with listening in leadership and organizational development. For him, listening is not only a professional competence, but a socially relevant one. Here to Listen grew from the conviction that more people should experience being listened to — and learn how to offer that quality of attention to others.
